Jessica Shaw

Jessica joined Timpany Walton in 2010. She specialises in the areas of Litigation, Family, Criminal, civil litigation  and employment laws as a solicitor.

Jess grew up in Timaru and spent 5 years in Dunedin studying at Otago University. She finished her law degree at the end of 2009 at which time she began working at Timpany Walton. Jess was admitted to the bar in July 2010.

Jess was attracted to the area of litigation when studying law and has always been a supporter of the 'under-dog'. She realises the importance of the role of advocacy and has a passion for dealing with people.

Jess practices in all areas of family law including care of children, child, youth and family matters, domestic violence and relationship property. She also practices in the areas of criminal law, civil litigation and employment law.

Outside of work, Jess has a number of interests, including snow and water skiing. She is on the organising team for the Rose Festival. Jess is also an avid reader and self proclaimed "foodie", and is most happy enjoying good food and wine with friends.
